The biggest producer of soluble coffee substitutes in Italy
The Crastan company was founded in 1870 by the Swiss entrepreneur Luzio Crastan, who established a small factory in Pontedera (Pisa), located in the heart of Tuscany, for the production of roasted coffee substitutes (cereal coffee, chicory coffee, etc.). Today, the company, still managed by the same family, has grown to become a leader in the sector and is one of the largest producers of instant coffee substitutes in Europe. With over 140 years of experience in the sector and utilizing the most advanced production technologies, Crastan has developed a vast range of food products to complement its main product line, including instant coffee, instant cappuccino, chocolate drink mix, instant tea, effervescent granules, mashed potato flakes, and much more.
